Schleswig-Holstein - a holiday from sea to sea

Sun, wind and waves - Schleswig-Holstein is worth a visit during every season. The land located between the North Sea and the Baltic, north of the Elbe river and south of Scandinavia combines freshness, nature, culture and activity. It is a land of seafarers and lovers of water sports. One never loses sight of the sea or of one of the many inland lakes- beaches for bathing, romping about and digging as far as the eye can see and a lot more.

Lage and small towns with a historic past are spread all over the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein. Flensburg, Eckernförde, historic Lübeck and the state capital Kiel are located at the Baltic sea coastline like pearls on a string, Theodor Storm's home town of Husum knows the somewhat raw storms of the North Sea, the small Dutch town of Friedrichstadt, centrally located Neumünster or the canal city of Rendsburg are located in the inland on the side of the road.
